Art and movement have been part of the most intimate and at the same time external part of me since I began to take my first steps and I deeply believe in the transformative power of art to create the realities in which we want to live.

I hate few things... but one of them are labels, those that sometimes make us have to sell ourselves at a certain price or that we are considered above people, objects with which to favor a consumerist society. If I had to choose an image to describe who I am right now, it would be a bird that has taken flight after nesting for a long time and that, on this journey called life, seeks to be able to fly free_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_ and create bases so that any bird can have the space to feel in community.

My story

I was born in Albacete (Spain) with an internal hurricane that is sometimes very difficult to control. I remember that I always loved the sensation of moving my body without limits and I had a special attraction to deform "reality" through art, but without a doubt, dance was the instrument to dream without limits. I began to adore this  art at my neighborhood school where I took my first academic steps between castanets and tap dances, classical dance positions and modern choreography and, at the age of twelve, I entered the Professional Conservatory of Dance of Albacete where I tasted -sometimes the troubles- of classical dance. At the age of eighteen I moved to Madrid to study "Pedagogy of Visual Arts and Dance" at the Rey Juan Carlos University, dancing at the same time in the Chamber Ballet of Madrid from 2010 to 2014 where I understood that, although classical dance was not the ideal specialty for me, any dance methodology taught with respect, love and wisdom is capable of fostering artistic and human values. In 2014, my life was transformed thanks to the first contact I had with inclusive dance: the educational project at the Joan Miró Special Education center where I fell in love with dance again, in a particularly particular period in which I constantly wondered if the path she had chosen and pursued was really the right one and, without expecting it,  the answer came: if she wanted to be happy and love dance, the path was a very different one.

I then decided to continue my journey exploring new languages and dance methodologies unknown to me, such as contemporary and jazz dance and other specialties such as theater and circus, while taking my first steps as a teacher, combined with my Master's studies "Attention to diversity and educational support" at the University of Alcalá de Henares. Partly due to my absolute need since I was a child to know and discover everything unknown and, of course, to know specific aspects about functional diversity that I lacked. In May 2015 I was selected to join the professional inclusive company FRITSCH COMPANY of the Maite León Psico Ballet Foundation (FPBML) as a dancer in the show "Mesa para Tr3s" without knowing all the adventures I would experience in this institution. As of September I began working as a teacher specialized in inclusive dance both for the students of this institution and in external projects, giving workshops in leading cultural institutions throughout Spain, as well as continuing to work as an interpreter at the FRITSCH COMPANY on tour. National and international.

In 2016 I suffered a personal existential crisis from which I was able to come to light again thanks to the creation of "BÚNKER" together with my friend and partner Adrián López, in which we wanted to break and undress through dance and reflect oppression personal and social that we suffered; We did not imagine that this healing process would lead us to participate in the IV Public Beta International Contemporary Dance Competition and to premiere our work again at the National Dramatic Center in 2019 within the festival "A different look". Also a consequence of this crisis, I decided to move to Paris in order to discover new personal and artistic universes, after enrolling in the Doctorate in Education program at the Autonomous University of Madrid, a city that had resonated in the stories of my relatives since I was a child. that they had to cross borders to look for what the war had stolen from them.

Paris, which is not always worth a mass, taught me to heal my wounds and constantly mutate professionally, working on projects as heterogeneous as they are interesting: contemporary dance as a performer and choreographer in companies like ALL MOOV, musical comedy shows -something I never I would have imagined- at Disneyland Paris as "Mickey and the Magician" and even on television in filming of series; always without losing sight of what made me fall in love with my profession again: seeking that universal artistic language and thanks to the Erasmus + SHIFT project with Northern Ballet (United Kingdom) and Misiconi Dance Company (Netherlands), I was able to have an international vision in the field of inclusive dance.

In addition to this, I received a scholarship from MICANDASES in the training for emerging choreographers "Parcous artistes" in which I was able to train and expand my knowledge in choreography and stage direction with national and international choreographers and performers, thus discovering the entire inner world that I had to offer through choreography, since until then he had always created experimentally.

In 2020, the world seems to stop and I decided to focus all my energy on finishing my doctoral research, which served as a refuge for me to continue imagining a future where I can continue learning, enjoying and building new values through dance for a society that without Without a doubt, the horrible pandemic made us see that it was more necessary than ever.  Once again life brings surprises and happiness and after reading it in November of that year, I obtained the Outstanding Laude rating and took advantage of the opportunities of virtuality -and why not say it, enjoy more free time - to get to know and discover what was happening far from Europe, because the world is too big to focus only on what is close to us, attending different training programs and seminars related to art and diversity such as the seminar "From the incursion to the questioning: scene, disability and politics” organized by the British Council and Teatro UNAM (Mexico) or the diploma course “Strategic thinking for the management and incidence of dance in today's society” from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University of Bogotá (Colombia).

In 2021, I decided to close my eyes, take a deep breath and fly without fear,  because I felt it was time to mutate again and become what I always wanted to be. I wanted to learn to fly by myself and build a path in a totally independent way, with people and institutions that respect my human and artistic values... What a joy to be able to know and see that there are many birds in this wonderful sky and how lucky I am to have been invited as a speaker at the national level and share a little piece of myself in events as nationally relevant as the XIII Conference on Social Inclusion and Education of Performing Arts and Music with my communication "Deconstructing ableism in dance" (Bilbao, 2021) and international in the IV meeting of creation in performing arts ENCAE "Community and dance: reflections from conceptual history" (Colombia).

Without a doubt, 2022 has been the year where this flight has been reaffirmed, and what an honor to have been able to be aware of the importance of sending a message of love in Moscow thanks to my creation "Alma mía" at the ProTeatre Festival in the midst of a conflict war and life teach me the importance of being at the right moment, the present moment and learning to breathe and flow with love... having discovered the wonders of those cities not so acclaimed with another creation with "Roads" where I was able to learn the wonders of a city like Soria and the importance of solitude and reflection in creative projects and of course, seeing my dream come true in my hometown thanks to this wonderful project that, although it has taught me to heal my wings, has taught to reaffirm myself and continue flying in an infinite sky.

At the moment, this is who I am for better and for worse. I have had to learn to fight with my angels and sleep with my demons, not to let myself be carried away by what should be or what -something that no one has decided- expects of me and above all, I have had to break down on numerous occasions to learn that in this life I will not be able to be happy if I do not fly in the direction of my dreams. Therefore, if you have come this far, I want to thank you for your interest and I hope that life can cross our paths.
